In my own kitchen, I’m all about fresh, high-quality, often organic, food. At work, when I’m short on volunteers to bring in meals, my default is “Let’s order pizza.” A few months ago I sorted through our box of snacks looking for old and gross ones and realized that if I was a parent, my kids would not be allowed to eat any of what I keep in my youth room.
So poll question: Are any of us trying to make our ministries more health-conscious with the food we serve, or using meals to teach our kids about caring for the temple that is the body?
While you’re thinking, here’s an article by Matthew McNutt, who writes the “Tending the Temple” feature in the Journal of Student Ministries on this very topic.
