I’m Isaac Arten, the youth minister at the Church of St. Michael and St. George in St. Louis, MO.
I have the very best (hardest, most rewarding, funniest, most frustrating) job there is, and share the work with some of the very best people there are (volunteers, staff members, and my fellow youth ministers).
Along with youth work at the church, I write articles and training materials for youth ministry and speak for special events, retreats and training.
The name “Isaac” means “he laughs” or “full of laughter” and I explain to people that I’m trying to live up to my name, and also to make everyone else “Isaac” too. One of the ways I keep myself laughing is by collecting ways to misspell my name– Izackh, Issaac, and Issaic are three of my favorites!
